Here are six that can get you started; look at all of them to find what works for you. Remember, practice makes perfect!

Learn Hindi Online is a website that contains lots of helpful information on Hindi script/the alphabet and Hindi grammar. All the information is free, so you can read it and practice at your own pace. New material should be added to the site in the future, but for now it is an excellent resource for an in-depth introduction to Hindi script and grammar.

Suno Sunao is an online program that is mainly geared toward children, however adults can use the program, too. There are programs designed for different ages, starting at age 3. A yearly subscription to the website costs $35. There are worksheets, exercises, and video lessons, and it teaches vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing. The materials are available for at-your-own-pace learning, and an adult facilitator is recommended for helping young children.

HindiPod101 is an innovative way to study and practice Hindi. With a free account, you can access audio and video podcasts, in which a knowledgeable instructor will teach you Hindi. HindiLearner is a website that offers online audio courses for learning Hindi, and there are resources for people of all skill levels. The online course costs $30, and some resources are an additional cost. It’s a site, however, that promises customizable lesson plans and attentive customer support that will help you reach your goals no matter what.

This website offers free audio lessons that will teach you many different popular vocabulary words and phrases. The coolest feature on this site is the free virtual Hindi keyboard, which gives you the ability to type things using Hindi script. You can then copy and paste your text anywhere.
